# To subscribers of the xforms list from Jerry Greenberg <jpg@sdsc.edu> :
A while ago, I posted a problem wherein XFORMS would not pop up windows
in front of my application under WINDOWS 2000 ( with the Hummingbird
Exceed X server)
but instead would put them behind it. Thanks to Hummingbird technical
support, there is
a solution:
After reviewing the case notes, I believe the problem may have more to do
with how Windows 2000 deals with certain events.
I downloaded tweakui from the Microsoft site.

kUI.asp
On the "General" tab there is a check box "Prevent applications from
stealing focus". I disabled this box and when I ran the test program you
sent Melanie, the Selection>Select Panel window did come to the foreground
as on previous Operating Systems, which leads me to believe the difference
may be attributable to the OS rather than Exceed.
I tried this and it works.
