XForms: Wrong person for the job

    Gentlefolk:

Upon reflection, I have come to the conclusion that I am the wrong
person for the job of maintaining XForms. In the several years since
TC originally approached me to take this project over my
responsibilities and, indeed, my interests have changed.

When we originally discussed this handover, in about 1996, I was
primarily a software developer and had a small group of three people
under me. As time went on, the group has grown to between 10 to 12
people and the projects have multiplied and become more complex. My
personal, non-work related interests have also become more diverse and
time consuming (painting, art, putting an SO through graduate school,
which can be a remarkable time sink).

As such, I have reached the inescapable conclusion that I am doing a
disservice to the community by continuing to attempt to run this
project while in my present position with my current work load.

If the LyX folks want to take over the project and have the resources
to do so, I will entertain an offer to do so.
