What kind of problems? There should be no issues with this -- I have
yet to see any major problems with XForms glcanvas implementation
(aside from it recreating contexts a bit too often).

Speaking of OpenGl, I do have that old OpenGL context sharing patch
from a few years ago (maybe late 2003 or early 2004, around the time
Fedora Core 1 was released), that we have used without a hitch in
every single xforms application we've written since then (and I can
assure you, there have been many). It appears to be working very well
with no issues. If you want, I can prepare a patch for you and send
it. It's a pretty handy feature.
