XForms: Error starting program

Hi all,

I'm trying to get an application working under a PC-based X-server
(VNC), but get the following error:

flvisual.c[217]: Can't find an appropriate visual

This also occurs with the xform demo programs. Other X-apps seem to
work OK using this server (xter, nedit, etc.). I'm kinda new to
programming in this environment, so I'm not sure what to check now.

FWIW, the application + demo progs live on a red Hat Linux box.

Any suggestions as to what I've overlooked?
