When I run with the DISPLAY variable set either to the local MIX xserver (which
has successfully run a few local xclients; xterm, oclock) or to a remote
xserver running on my linux machine I get the same failure, namely:

(C:\USR\SRC\MAGNET\MAGNET.EXE 1009) Exception: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

along with a core dump. I couldn't determine where the failure occured with the
Cygnus version of gdb.

I'd like to know what a working combination would be, namely, did you use Cygwin
20.1 along with a very specific x library? The code works well under Linux and
Solaris. Again, I'm starting with Cygwin B19.
